Donate a Debt to Charity Program



Bill Collector In A Box™ has put together a program that lets owners of small- to medium-sized business put their uncollectible accounts to work and help cash-strapped charities that are suffering because of the impending recession. And, along the way, these businesses can take advantage of a charitable donation tax deduction!

How it works:

  • Determine which debts are uncollectible at your business and make copies of supporting documents.

  • Select a charity, request your free copy of Bill Collector In A Box™ for your future collection needs (if desired), and sign the "Account Donation Agreement" to mail in with your documentation and "Account Submission Forms."

  • Print (1 each per donated account) the "Account Submission Form" and fill out the form for each account that is being donated. Please attach the "Account Submission Forms" to the front of each debt being donated.

  • Mail the original account documentation (the evidence proving the debt is owed) with the "Account Submission Form" attached to the front of each debt, and the signed "Account Donation Agreement" to the address below.

  • Upon receipt of your donated account(s), a staffer will review the account for all necessary information and contact you if necessary to obtain additional info or clarification.

  • Within 7 days your account will be uploaded to our collection platform and an acknowledgement mailed to you acknowledging receipt of the account(s).

  • Collection action will begin immediately including letters, phone calls, skip-tracing, and credit reporting.

  • Upon successful collection of the donated account, a statement will be generated and mailed to the contributor to confirm the cash value of their donation, and a donation check in the contributor company's name for the amount collected (less collection costs) will be remitted to the selected charity. The charity will then mail a tax-deductible donation receipt for the cash contribution to the contributor.
